What is the working principle of the safety circuit breaker?

An safety circuit breaker is a device that interrupts the power supply in case of overload or short circuit. This protects both the electrical equipment and the people who use it from damage.

  • What are the characteristics of safety circuit breakeres?

  • What should be taken into account when using safety circuit breakers?

  • What is the difference between a safety circuit breaker and a switch?

What are the characteristics of safety circuit breakeres?

(1) The safety circuit breaker has light structure, small contact opening distance (10 kV, only 10mm), fast action, easy operation, small size and light weight.

(2) The arc time of the safety circuit breaker is short because the contacts are in vacuum, basically no arc occurs, and a very small arc can generally be extinguished with only half a cycle (0.01 seconds), so it is called half cycle circuit breaker. And it has nothing to do with the strength of the current.

(3) The recovery speed of contact distance medium is fast and safe

(4) Long service life.

(5) Maintenance is low and can prevent fires and explosions.

What should be taken into account when using safety circuit breakers?

1.Due to moisture, the insulation resistance of the motor and its power supply line decreases, and the earth fault current increases to electrify the motor housing and electrical housing;

2.The insulation of the motor and its power supply line is grounded due to aging, mechanical damage or power failure (metallic grounding or arc grounding);

3.The exposed part of the voltage conducting body of the motor and its power supply line (in case of mechanical damage or maintenance) is directly touched by a person or by a tool or other conductive body, which causes a phase-earth electric shock accident (accidental, temporary).

What is the difference between a safety circuit breaker and a switch?

As we all know, there are many features of safety circuit breakeres and switches. In a newly renovated house, it is especially important to choose a suitable fuse box and switch. Do you understand these two problems? What is the difference between a safety circuit breaker and a switch? What are the characteristics of an safety circuit breaker? There is a big difference between a safety circuit breaker and a switch, and there are many features of a circuit breaker. Only by choosing a suitable and inexpensive fuse machine will your life be safer.

1.The safety circuit breaker is equipped with arc suppression so that it can switch off the load current and residual current.

2.The disconnector has no arc suppression and therefore cannot be used to switch off or feed in load current and residual current above a certain capacity.

3.The safety circuit breaker is mostly operated by electric remote control.

4. The disconnect switch is usually operated manually on site.
