What is a mobile residual current circuit breaker?


A mobile residual current circuit breaker is an electrical appliance consisting of a plug, a residual current protection device and a socket or wiring device. What are the precautions for using residual current circuit breaker?


1) For the residual current circuit breaker that only allows the upper line to enter, if the lower line must be entered, the short-circuit breaking capacity can only be reduced. The general empirical figure is that the short-circuit breaking current Ic is reduced by 15-20% when it is less than or equal to 20KA, and is reduced by about 25-30% when it is greater than 20KA. The reduced short-circuit breaking capacity may vary and should be specified in the manufacturer's technical conditions. What the lower incoming line needs to reduce is the short-circuit breaking capacity without reducing its current.


2) After the residual current circuit breaker is reversely connected (the line enters from the bottom), it may also cause the danger of electric shock. Because most people are accustomed to think that the upper end (ON) of the handle is connected to the power supply, and the lower end (OFF) is connected to the load. If the connection is reversed, the circuit breaker is in the open state, and the lower end (OFF) is powered. When you touch it, you may receive an electric shock. Therefore, when connecting reversely, the incoming and outgoing wires must be clearly marked, and it is best to make a warning sign to prevent electric shock.



What is the definition of a residual current circuit breaker?


The residual current circuit breaker is one of the important electrical devices in the low-voltage distribution system. It is a switching appliance used to cut off and distribute the overcurrent and short-circuit faults generated in the circuit, and its principle of action is to extinguish the arc by using the oxidation reaction that occurs on the surface of the metal conductor. The arc extinguishing method is fast, efficient and non-sparking (compared to flying arc extinguishing), so the residual current circuit breaker is widely used in power systems for all voltage levels of distribution installations.
